The Rusty Hydrant
While reading Kestrel Shadowthistle's post "Marleybone at Midnight", I began to think of a way to expand on it. Not necessarily the "stop, look, and listen" (which I will post about later), but just using one of those places for a meeting spot. A place where people stop in for just a minute and say "hi" (kind of like Cheers). So I thought about it a little more. We already have hundreds of meeting places in the Spiral. Realms, worlds, areas, locations, etc. You get the idea.
And then it came to me. Twitter. Here is what I want to do. Since we already use the #twizards hashtag, what I want to do now is open #TheRustyHydrant. I want it to be kind of a gathering place for the Wizard-ing community. I'm thinking of something like Happy Hour give aways. Other twizards can advertise their contests in The Rusty Hydrant.
I would appreciate any comments / criticism that you can provide.
The Rusty Hydrant is open for business!

Staying power
I am relatively new to Waterworks, having been there perhaps 15 times in the last three weeks. It's quite intimidating at first, reading other blogs, videos, forums. My first time was fun as I introduced everyone to RA rather quickly. Since then, I have had some really great experiences, even once going into WW with 4 necromancers. The result was win, and a couple of new friends.
But in the past few days, my WW visits have been...less than pleasant. Of the past 5 visits, I have had to return home after Luska because either: A) a wizard(s) were only farming up to Luska, but failed to notify anyone and abruptly left after the first boss, B) went AFK in any of the rooms and never returned, or C) died, and did not return.
I'm not complaining, more so asking for a little common courtesy. I have only seen 1 wizard say that his intention was to farm Luska, and that was it. Given the fact that it takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete, I look forward to that time, to make new friends, get pet snacks, and of course the treasure. Not that I am leaving WW, I am just going to be more cautious before entering.
